Canada’s PM Justin Trudeau Appears On “Drag Race”

Fans of the original Canada’s Drag Race received a sneak glimpse of the future competition and just a slew of the notable celebrities expected to come on the show in a new teaser for the upcoming debut season of Canada’s Drag Race: Canada Vs. The World, which will soon be released. It just so happens that the Right Honorable Justin Trudeau, who is currently serving as Prime Minister of Canada, is one of them.

A World Leader

It is the very first occasion in the history of the RuPaul’s Drag Race franchise that a world leader has appeared as a special guest on one of the shows in the franchise.

Nancy Pelosi, the Speaker of the House, showed up on the most recent episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars. During her appearance, she urged viewers, as well as the contestants, to cast their votes in the upcoming midterm elections.

The new trailer also reveals a plethora of other guest stars that are scheduled to make an appearance on the show. Canada’s Drag Race: Canada Vs. The World will showcase guest judges such as Gary Janetti, Anjulie, and Hollywood Jade, as well as previous winners of the series such as Priyanka and Monét X Change.

A snapshot taken on set revealed Brooke Lynn Hytes, a Toronto drag queen and host, standing next to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau during a period in which the candidates are given words of encouragement before the episode’s primary task.

Judges And Special Guests

Beginning on November 18, Crave will begin airing the episodes.

In addition, the guest judges for this season of Drag Race have been named, and they include the winner of Canada’s Drag Race, Priyanka, TV celebrity Jeanne Beker, and Juno Award-winning artist Anjulie.

The following season, much like its counterpart UK Vs. The World will feature queens from all of the other international editions of the program coming back to compete against one another for the title of champion.

It is expected that queens from RuPaul’s Drag Race (Silky Nutmeg Ganache and Ra’Jah O’Hara), Canada’s Drag Race (Kendall Gender, Icesis Couture, Rita Baga, and Stephanie Prince), RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under (Anita Wigl’it) will make an appearance at the event, and RuPaul’s Drag Race UK (Vanity Milan and Victoria Scone).

In the end, we have to wonder what our world has come to when the leader of Canada is seen participating in absurdities like this.

What message is he trying to pass with this? What are your thoughts about the Prime Minister appearing in a drag race competition?

What message is the PM giving to young kids and others when he’s gallivanting around changing genders and acting like some kind of exotic transgender stripper?

Do you think it is the right decision? Let us know in the comment section.
