Furious and desperate that his plan for a shock conquest of Ukraine failed miserably, due to the heroic resistance of vastly outgunned Ukrainians, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin resorted to carpet-bombing Ukrainian civilians.
He did this visibly in the second largest city of Kharkiv, thus killing hundreds, including dozens of young children.
Indiscriminate Bombing Out of Fury and Impotence
Kkarkiv, a city of 1.4 million people, lies barely 20 miles from the border with Russia, and was widely expected to fall quickly in the event of a Russian attack. However, the city defenders, military and civilian volunteers alike, are still holding.
Putin completely lost momentum in his quest to crush, conquer, and rule Ukraine; his desperation seems to be leading him to attack those most vulnerable, thereby committing horrifying war crimes.
Right now in Ukraine, a Russian carpet-bombing of the civilian population appears to be unfolding on a much greater scale.
The Ukrainian government announced out of Kyiv on Monday morning, as cited by The Daily Mail, at least several dozens of civilians have been killed in the shelling of Kharkiv by Russian rocket artillery; hundreds of civilians have been wounded.
Terrifying videos shared on Twitter show dead bodies scattered around the streets and badly wounded civilians, including a still alive elderly woman whose leg was ripped off by a blast and remains dozens of feet away from her body.
Photos and footage also showed unexploded Russian missiles and cartridges from BM-21 Grad rockets in the streets or inside apartment buildings.
Numerous other Ukrainian cities were bombed severely by the Russian invaders overnight, including Chernihiv in the east, Zaporizhzhia in the south, and Zhytomyr in the west.

Putin Killed Dozens of Ukrainian Children
As of Monday morning local time, the Russians managed to capture one Ukrainian city, Berdyansk, a city of 100,000 people on the coast of the Sea of Azov.
Russians were trying to surround the substantially larger coastal city of Mariupol. Harrowing images from Mariupol showed the death of a six-year-old girl, and her terrified parents as emergency medics fought in vain for the child’s life.
In a video address on Monday, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced a total of 16 Ukrainian kids have been killed by the Russians. 45 have been wounded during the first four days of Mad Vlad’s invasion.
Reuters news agency reported on the story of Mark Goncharuk, a little boy who was picked up by their news team with his family while they were trying to reach Ukraine’s western borders by walking for three days.
The boy told how they left behind his father in Kyiv to fight the Russian invaders.
Monday morning’s carpet bombing of Kharkiv by Putin’s forces came against the backdrop of a meeting for talks between Russian and Ukrainian officials at the Belarus-Ukraine border.
Many suspect this meeting is nothing but a sham by the Russian dictator in order to distract from his military failures and war crimes.
In the meantime, bloodthirsty, fuming Putin raised the readiness level of Russia’s nuclear forces in probably the biggest nuclear war threat against the West since the collapse of the Soviet Union.
Indications that in the middle of peace talks Russia dropped a bunch of cluster muntions on civilians in Kharkiv. https://t.co/5yxhH3BTaA

Ukraine's interior ministry says dozens killed, hundreds injured civilians after massive GRAD shelling of Kharkiv *while negotiations are ongoing". If true, these are the worst faith "negotiations" recent history has seen. pic.twitter.com/rCX4lpj0ZJ
